The flotation machine is the core equipment in mineral processing operations. It is widely used for the separation and purification of non-ferrous and ferrous metals. It also adopts a horizontal configuration design, making process adjustment flexible and convenient, and can quickly adapt to process changes according to mineral processing needs.
In terms of structural design, the flotation machine adopts a U-shaped tank body, a hollow shaft inflatable and a suspended stator structure. The core is equipped with a new conical impeller - the impeller blades are designed at a backward angle, similar to the high-specific-speed centrifugal pump impeller structure. It has the characteristics of large slurry lifting volume, small output pressure head, and low operating power consumption. The overall structure is simple and easy to maintain later. At the same time, the impeller cavity is equipped with a porous cylindrical air distributor, which can evenly disperse air in most areas of the impeller blades in advance, greatly increasing the contact interface between the slurry and the air, and improving the flotation reaction efficiency.
Working principle
When the flotation machine is running, the impeller rotates at high speed to form a negative pressure, and the slurry in the tank is sucked into the blade gap from the bottom of the tank from the lower end of the impeller from all sides. At the same time, the low-pressure air delivered by the blower passes through the hollow shaft and the impeller air distributor and synchronously enters the inside of the impeller. After the slurry and air are fully mixed between the blades and the mineralization reaction is completed, the mixed material is pushed obliquely upward from the periphery of the upper half of the impeller, and diffuses to the entire tank after being stabilized and oriented by the stator.
Mineralized bubbles rise to the foam stable zone of the tank under the action of buoyancy. After enrichment and screening, qualified foam overflows from the overflow weir and enters the foam tank to complete concentrate collection; part of the slurry flows back to the lower part of the impeller, and is stirred and mixed again to form new mineralized bubbles to participate in the flotation cycle; the remaining slurry that has not completed flotation flows to the next tank to continue operation until the end of the flotation process, and finally forms tailings and is discharged.
